Description
We are proud to present you our SoliPaper ULS-grade High Strength, also referred to as SoliPaper HS-grade. Originally developed as a fire protection shield for EV battery pack thermal runaway, but now seeing a much wider range of applications. It combines high strength, low dust, and temperature resistance. It is made from SoliWool™ ULS® fibers along with a small percentage of special high-strength fibers and selected fillers.
SoliPaper™ HS offers up to 8 times higher tensile strength than standard low bio persistence fiber paper, delivering exceptional strength, mechanical resistance, a smooth surface, and low dust. While SoliPaper HS is primarily based on 1260°C rated SoliWool ULS bulk fiber, it is recommended for continuous use temperatures up to 900°C due to the burnout of fillers and added high-strength fibers over time.
Not only does the SoliPaper HS-grade offer higher stength, but because of a better interlocking of the fiber, it also offers lower dust and a high delamination strength when made self adhesive. Where with most of the SoliPaper products we are able to offer a uniform, lightweight, low shot and flexible paper-like products, we take this one step further with the SoliPaper HS-grade. With its flexibility and high tensile strength, SoliPaper HS is targeted for applications requiring further processing such as laminated composites, die-cutting, rolling, and folding.
All products within the SoliWool ULS fiber range, including SoliPaper HS, meet the requirements specified under NOTE Q of European Regulation 1272/2008. Therefore, SoliPaper ULS products are exempt from labeling requirements in Europe.
SoliPaper HS is exclusively available in Jumbo-sized rolls, making it optimal for producing large quantities of die-cut gaskets, minimizing cutting waste in the automotive and domestic appliances industries.
Next to the SoliPaper in the low bio persistence grade (LBP) we also offer a standard range of RCF(-Zr) Papers from 1260 to 1430°C and special paper grades using PCW fibers up till 1600°C.
